Independence Juice Recipe

Detox Juice, Juicing for addiction

In celebration of independence this month we have created a juice off of ideas from research on healthy detox juicing for addictions like alcohol and liver cleansing. Liver cleansing is essential to detoxing, getting rid of what has gotten into your body (and it’s filtration system) causing the situation that you need to detox from in the first place and laying out a clean slate for new nutrients to absorb faster. Also any addiction is an addiction whether it be alcohol, tobacco, or Krispy Cream, that is right food can be an addiction and almost as hard or in some cases as hard to give up. This is due to the ingredients that hit the ‘rewards center’ of the brain in some foods. Any addiction needs detox and cleanse. Some things that are terrific in detox of addiction and cleansing the liver include, grapefruit, lemons, ginger, and acidophilus or a ‘good bacteria’ source. We made this juice with this in mind as well as keeping a nice taste that someone could easily use in a 3 to 7 week juice detox program. Some liver cleansers also use beets, flax oil, and garlic. We found particularly the garlic way to strong to juice and expect someone to drink. However flax has a mild enough taste to add as well as the particular bacteria source we used. Nothing is set in stone with juicing, play have fun. We just felt this was a good start with a great grapefruit taste.

What can you handle for ingredients in your juicing for your health? Is there something you use that most people don’t? Share below.

Until next time, enjoy the good life!
