First pardon me for any grammar or spelling errors… I have been tasting the sangria as I prepped it and well lets just say I am a bit of a light weight. Not to mention how alcohol will hit you after going Paleo/Wheat Belly clean. Anyway I do not partake often but when I do I want it to be the healthiest possible with fresh juices and better alternatives then being loaded down with sugar. Sangria has always been one of my favorites but it is often filled with sugar and other nasties. So I decided this Cinco De Mayo to make my own. I added a little secret ingredient that this super cool chick at the wine and spirits store told me about and it is delicious! Sure enough people that tasted it where all like what is that extra something? Just like she said they would. Substituted the pounds of sugar, sodas, and ‘juices’ for freshly juiced oranges, honey and sparkling water. If you do not like drinking sparkling water no issues it is good without it. Paleo people in general do not drink but if they do wine is usually one exception. If you do choose the occasional drink this is a good one.
