Amanda Jean’s Sweet n’ Spicy BBQ Sauce

BBQ Sauce Recipe

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][ultimate_heading main_heading=”About this Recipe” alignment=”left” main_heading_font_family=”font_family:|font_call:”][/ultimate_heading][vc_column_text]Summer is kicking in full, sunny, beautiful gear, time to hang by the pool and BBQ. Yeah! So I have always wanted to make my own BBQ sauce, I love a good BBQ but they always seem to jack it up with a vat of sugar. You can make things just as good naturally. So I decided to check out a few styles of BBQ sauce I loved and blend ideas and add a few flavors I thought would blend in to make the perfect sweet and spicy BBQ sauce, and boy did I nail it. Not to toot my own horn, but when I fixed it on chicken last night my picky toddler ate three pieces of chicken and my husband had a little love fest with a drum stick. 😉

What is your favorite style of BBQ? What else would you like to see out on the grill this summer?

Until next time, enjoy the good life

Ingredients

2 Cups Ketchup ( Don’t use Organicville in picture made with agave, I now make my own recipe to come soon or Tessamae’s brand).

1 Cup Tomato Sauce

1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1 tsp Black Pepper

1 tsp Ground Mustard

1 tsp Smoked Paprika (Yes smoked matters! one of my secret ingredients, that I am sharing with you). 😉

1 and 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1 and 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tbs Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce

3 tbs Coconut Sugar (Since posting this we found coconut sugar to be no better then using regular table sugar, try using honey which at least has better nutrients and in tupelo form is ok even for diabetics, or a non blood sugar high sweeter like z-sweet).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”962″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self”
