This Father’s Day, we got a little drunk off our ideas… lol, ok so I am not a lush, really, but I may have taken a few sips while making these fabulous gifts for our deserving daddy’s ;). While I have made a drink inspired spa product before (Mojito Scent) I have not actually used alcohol in it before. I have always wanted to make a spa treatment with brandy, love the smell, and as I was doing my research for this project I kept running into all these articles on how good alcohol was for you on the outside verses on the inside. I also found tons of fancy (and expensive) spa products being made with alcohol as an ingredient to them. As you will see I always am including my all favorite therapy grade essential oils to all of my spa products, so I was trying to figure out if I wanted to make an alcohol spa product how should I bring in the oils, then it hit me, famous drinks made from each alcoholic beverage I wanted to use. From there the ideas began to flow from presentation and ways of storing the products.
The Margarita Men’s After Shave Splash, resides in an original Tequila bottle, with monogrammed stopper. The Martini Salt Scrub, shaken not stirred, is held in it’s nifty shaker. The Whiskey Sour Shaving Cream in a decorative glass jar for storage in the fridge, and comes with classic shaving mug and brush. Lastly but not least, what started the whole idea, Spiced Brandy Coffee Soap, mmmmmmhmmm good smelling. All products sit on a drinks tray with serene spa river rocks resting on the bottom.
