[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We use grain to fatten farm animals for slaughter, many pet lovers feed their dogs and cats only the best grain free diets, so, why would we eat grain? We know it makes animals fat and is unhealthy for our pets, but we still eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Yet we wonder why obesity is an epidemic in our country. Of course, grain is not the only evil, low fat diets that have our body thinking it is starving tend to add on the pounds as well. Of course, what none of the fat free fad products mention on their product label is the fillers they use to keep their products tasting good, which are largely sugars and other carbohydrates. These all lead to high blood sugars from insulin spiking. The body stores the extra sugars as fat to save for energy, which we never can catch up with from the continuous cycle of insulin levels raising with sugars and seed of grass carbs. Oh yeah, remember your body thinks it is in starvation mode because the fats it relies on are missing? So it will store even more fat to keep you alive. This was the start of grain overload in our country, not to mention sugar overload, on things we really were never meant to even ingest.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1520″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
Feeling Hungrier then Ever? : Here is Why
Grains also make you feel hungrier, because of two things one your body is missing the healthy fats that your body is looking for in most grain products of today, and two, grains break down into opiates in the body. That is right, grain acts like a drug in your body. It is addicting, much like sugar, and makes you crave more right after you just ate a full meal. While you are eating and right after it is like riding the high of a drug, then after the crash has you ravenous for more. Ever ate a full meal and then just minutes later about to eat off a finger if you don’t get another snack or meal? It is usually about a 2-hour process of high, crash and craving. This is an opiate crash, making you crave that next hit of sugar or grain carbohydrates.
What was our nutritionists and doctors’ solution to this problem? Eat more. Yep, eat more small meals during the day. Hmmm… eat more of what is making you hungry to begin with and more of what is making us fat? This is the grand health tip of the year, scary?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
What Is The Science Behind Hunger And Wheat?
Gliadin– is a protein within the gluten in wheat, that acts as an opioid. Unlike other proteins they are not fully digested into single amino acids in our body, gliadin only breaks down into a 4 to 5 chain amino acid that binds to the brain acting as an opioid. These opioids do not make you high like an acid trip, or keep away pain; they simulate appetite and cause addictive relationships to food.
Wheat germ agglutinin – blocks lepton the satiety hormone. This hormone was meant to tell you when you were no longer hungry or no longer needing nutrients, to stop eating. Wheat germ agglutinin blocks this hormone from telling the brain to stop eating.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1521″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1522″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
What Is The Science Behind Wheat Making Us Fat?
Amylopectin A – the one thing we can digest easily, is this starch, easier then table sugar in fact. This is why 2 pieces of whole wheat bread when digested raise blood sugar higher than 6 teaspoons of sugar in the body!
Anything with a high glycemic index will raise blood sugars, and cause the pancreas to release an overload of insulin. Which in normal levels is healthy. The problem begins when the blood sugar has high spikes that overload insulin levels. This causes the normal storage of sugars to overload and have to be stored as fat instead, in adipose tissue. This is how we gain the ‘wheat belly,’ that Dr. William Davis speaks of. The combo of adding in hunger stimulation with gliadin to the entire picture is an obvious pro-fat addition, as well as wheat germ agglutinin blocking leptin in the body and also keeping us on the constant hunger wheel.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
If You Don’t Have Celiac Disease Can’t You Eat Wheat?
No. Gluten is not the only reason we can not process seeds of grass, nor the only cause of the major problems wheat causes, as seen with wheat germ agglutinin and Amylopectin A.

If it is So Bad For Us Why is it in So Many of Our Foods?
- It is cheap to produce
- It has a longer shelf life
- It creates need for more, supply and demand, with its addicting principles.
There are actual food scientists on these huge companies payrolls. They work on something called the “bliss point” as referenced by Dr. Howard Moskowitz, a consultant for many years on selling food products, which is basically when scientists work on a food till its ingredients cause the largest spike in brain stimulation without being too much or too little. In 1985 a change in appetite cravings happened, it was the fat free fad, and since then more and more products are laced with wheat, other seeds of grass and sugar (which is another blog “Why Sugar Free”). It is now in products that are obvious like breads, and pastas, but also in licorice, candy bars, tomato soup, dressings and much more.
Bottom line wheat makes money and lots of it, for big agribusiness; unfortunately our health is not their biggest concern.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1524″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1523″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
We Have Been Eating Bread Forever it is in the Bible and Other Traditions
True we where eating breads in the times of Christ and even before that in ancient Egypt. However, we did not even start eating seeds of grass till about 10,000 years ago as a human society, out of desperation. We saw our ibis herds and other livestock eating grasses, and thought could we eat it? We found that if we tried to just eat grass from root to stalk we would become sick and could not process it. So smart humans took the seeds from grass the pulverized them into flours and mush, which allowed one thing, the ability to eat them without retching them back up. Bottom line seeds from grass have the same properties as the entire plant.
Even if the seeds of grass from yesterday were good for us to consume, today’s wheat is a whole new plant. Genetic modifications and chemical sprays have changed our harvest into what in essence is a poison.
The wheat of today has started to be connected to human diseases like diabetes, heart disease, IBS and many more. It is often the human condition to worry about fat before health. So I focused quite a bit of this blog on it. This may make sense when we look at the problems that fat causes, which include the aforementioned diseases, on why fat is so despicable to our culture. I will be writing another blog in the future about the research on disease and wheat. Before this future blog is released though ask yourself, aren’t these enough reasons to seriously consider the effects of wheat on your health and well-being? Will you stop eating wheat? Why or why not? Share below.
Until next time, enjoy the good life,
